Activity Schedule: Family Season June 1st to Aug. 23rd 2008
SUNDAY-- Kick off the week with a "Taste of Texas"! Scrumptious BBQ ribs, chicken-fried steak with gravy, chili, Texas caviar, and chicken tenders, are just some of the traditional Texas favorites you'll enjoy. An old fashioned hayride, internationally famous trick roper, country music, and Kowgirl Kel's western bingo, all set the stage for a fabulous evening of family fun "Mayan Style".
MONDAY-- "Spaghetti Western" is our theme for this evening. While the adults and teens try their hand at some Mayan card games, the children will showcase their talents in the Mayan Talent Show. Prime rib and Pasta-a-Plenty top the menu. Stroll through Suzanne's western boutique. A western variety show and karaoke make for an exciting finish that would make even Clint Eastwood smile.
TUESDAY-- "Tapas"- a little bit of a lot of everything. Tonight we will treat you to a variety of culinary dishes and entertainment. Share your talent in The Mayan Gong Show. Can you sing, dance, do bird calls, or play the kazoo? *Children 12 yrs. and under as written below.
WEDNESDAY-- "The Wild West" is a family favorite- A Buffalo show, Ms. Fancy Nancy’s Old Fashioned Photos (extra charge), The Fiddling Gibson Sisters, Texas-sized steaks and catfish, and a family DJ dance will close the evening.
THURSDAY-- The Mayan Fiesta is always a crowd pleaser: Mayan Margaritas, a five piece Mariachi Band, Mechanical Bull, and children's pinata. Jump on a hayride with country music- then return to a banana split buffet served poolside.
FRIDAY-- BBQ like only the Mayan can BBQ! Before the meal Wild Bill Deene shares his love and passion for the Wild West. Then try your aim, pitch, toss, and spin at our Cowboy Olympics. BBQ beef, ribs, and sausage will be served at our lovely riverside Gazebo followed by a fabulous fireworks display.
SATURDAY-- "Mayan Musical" is our theme for this evening. We will spotlight some of the most influential and popular music of all time. Wine and dine on head chef Shawna's specialties.*Children 12 yrs. and under as written below.
*On Tuesday and Saturday evenings, children 3-12 years will have their own meal and be entertained separately from the adults. Our staff supervises on those evenings. Parents of children 2 years and under will have to arrange for a personal sitter for their meals and activities on those two evenings. NO exceptions will be made for children in the dining room on Tuesday and Saturday evenings. Saturday evenings all children are invited to the floor show AFTER the meal.
Please note: The majority of our guests stay an entire week during the summer months, so we have a set weekly schedule. Other times of the year, we have most of the above summer activities plus we are able to offer MORE seasonal activities like bonfire/ marshmallow roasts, campfires, fishing treks, etc. Regardless of the time of the year, we always have our world famous Cowboy Breakfast, hayrides to see our wild-life, our guest-favorite BBQ’s, live country music, dancing instruction, and western games.
